Local and visiting performers will swoon shoppers and café goers through their Sunday mornings in Chinatown from this Sunday (13 Aug), playing tunes at various locations between 10:00 – 12:00 as part of the Music Mornings initiative.
Music Mornings will take place for the next four Sundays and aims create a sense of atmosphere and ambience for tourists and locals in Chinatown.
This Sunday Morning (13 Aug) will host the following music morning events:
- Dragonfly Café: James Ross
- Shady lane Café: Satya and Byron Lerner
- Green Mango Café: Steve Angoorly
- Runway Bar: Maddi Davies and Bindi Ford
For a century, music and Chinatown have long had an affiliation and the Revitalisation project is exploring ways to introduce regular live performers into the town centre. It's hoped that the community will demonstrate their support by attending the Music Mornings and encouraging more live music performances in the town's public and private spaces.
